Priority Business:

 

New meeting place needed….  We didn’t have a written contract with the old board members of riteway, and the new board members now want to have a speaker meeting and dance the 2nd Saturday of every month (which is what day our meetings are held in case someone is confused…).

Options; Library ( one room, free), Stay at riteway (change to 1st or 4th Saturday of the month, one room), First Congregational Church Winona (one room, no tables but larger sized room).

Trusted Servant Reports

 

Facilitator: I am grateful to be at another area service today. We have a few things under priority business to discuss. I will be taking a leave of absence after March 2nd weekend for three months. So, unless another facilitator is elected my co-facilitator will facilitate the BRASC for April and May 2006. FYI trusted servant elections are in May, newly elected trusted servants will start in June. Nominations for these positions will be in April. ILOS Debbie S.

RCM: Good Morning Family. It' wonderful to be here in the frozen Tundra. Thanx to the Hosting Committee for having us at this beautiful site.

The Big Rivers Area is grateful to welcome Ms. Stacy P. as our new RCMA. She comes with a wonderful attitude & burning desire to serve. She is a welcome addition to our service structure.

Our web-site has been redeveloped, approved, funded & should be up&runnin by the next cycle. Name will be forth coming. Thanx to Deb W. (BRASC) for her hard work.

For the Second Time In Man's Entire History- "I Can't, We Campout" @ Wildcat State Park, outside of Ontario.WI. Early registration is only $10. (Typo in Regional Minutes, NOT $110) Contact: Big Rivers Area, PO Box 3765 LaCrosse,WI 54602. This will be held the first weekend of June & includes biking, fishing, canoeing, Horse back riding, too much other fun & recovery to be listed here.

April 22 @ Lacrosse Public Library, 800 Main Street, LaCrosse, Wi "Staying Clean / Inside & Out" (An H&I Thang) 9:00 am - 4:00pm.

The second weekend of September, BRASC will host it's first fall frolic campout at Wyalusing State Park on the Mississippi River outside of Prairie du Chien, WI. It will be at the Group Site with bunks, showers, meals, recovery, & fun. Projected cost is $25.00 for the weekend, including meals. More will be revealed.

The CAR was reviewed by the usual number of suspects along with Larry K. Our sincere thanx to him for the long drive & all his service. The motions will be taken back to the home groups for discussion & votes.

We are now enjoying 2 (COUNT'EM) , 2 new meetings in the Big Rivers Area and one new group. Gateway Group started a 3rd meetingof the week in Sparta,WI @ 4:19 on Monday Afternoons, 210 "K" Street @ Methodist Church. The new group is in New Lisbon,Wi. , meeting on Wednesday Nites @ 108 Washington.Street (Fulner Hall)

H&I is growing with 2 new volunteers approved for Lacrosse Men's Facility and more volunteers awaiting approval for that,and other facilities. Other recovery facilities, such as, recovery facilities are being serviced and investigated , as well. Unfortunately, there never seems to be as many volunteers as requests for volunteers.

BRA is growing aswell as, the recovery, in the Area.We are on the move and (With the help of our HIGHER POWER) will continue be "Shakers & Movers. We remain to be the best Area in the world.

RCMA: I am a little nervous due to the fact that next weekend I’ll be going to the middle of nowhere, and up north. Please send through prayers….lots of prayers. Secretary: I am grateful and excited to have a new co-secretary on board. I need the trusted servant reports to be in my hands or in my in-box by 5pm the day of BRASC. So that I may get the minutes out on time. I am still not hooked up with internet at my house, have ways and means to get around that. I will be sending around a sign up list of updated address/email for the next few BRASC meetings. Policy: We are doing well. No changes in business or structure. We meet the same day and place as area at 13:10. There were three motions that were referred to the policy sub committee. We looked at those three. Two of the motions were sent back to the floor. We are looking at a schedule to adhere to  in printing updated guidelines, such as possibly quarterly or bi-annually. Amethyst: We have one new group member, bringing our total home group members to three. They have taken on the position of treasurer. Average attendance: 15-20. Newcomers: varies from week to week. We meet behind the Laar house at 7:30pm on Thursdays. We could always use more home group members, Shawn W GSR

 

Back to Basics: We are doing very well. Average attendance: 15-20. Newcomers: 1-5. We meet Sunday and Wednesday at 7pm, St Paul’s Church 265 Lafayette St. Winona MN. Amber C Acting GSR

 

Gateway NA: no report.

Lakeside Destiny: We are doing OK. Average attendance: 1. Newcomers: 6. We meet at 720 Williams St. Tomah WI. Sundays and Tuesdays at 7pm and Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.  Brent H GSR

 

Main Street: No report.

 

New Beginnings: We are doing very well, no changes. Average attendance: 15. Newcomers: 1. We meet at the Nueman Center in the basement at 7pm on Mondays. Use back entrance. Raven CH GSR

New Life Basic Text: We are struggling for active home group members. This challenges us to have a chair person lead a meeting and then collect seventh tradition. Average attendance: 6-12. Would like help from out reach to keep doors open. Secretary, GSRA are open positions. We are planning our third annual marathon meeting/grill-out for a Sunday in April celebrating our 4th of carrying the message. More will be revealed as addicts show willingness to be of service. Three Rivers: Everything is going well. Average attendance: 20 Newcomers: 2. We meet at Coulee Council on Wednesdays at 7pm and Fridays at 7:30 pm. There is always room for anyone seeking a home group and desiring to be of service. Mark M acting GSR
